My favorite term used to describe therapies and techniques in integrative medicine which involve touching or manually working with the body. While bodywork includes all forms of massage techniques, it also includes many other types of touch therapies.

Benefits of bodywork include but are not limited to:

  • The creation of happy chemicals (Clinical studies show that massage therapy increases production of endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine; while it reduces cortisol levels, heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen consumption; factors typically associated with stress.

  • Increased blood and lymph flow, therefore, the bodies healing functions are supported

  • Decreased pain

  • Enhanced relaxation and healthy sleep

  • Reduced stress and anxiety

  • More physical self awareness

  • A sense of stillness and general wellbeing

Healthy touch is a necessity. This has been proven scientifically and it is also known in the heart. It’s one of the 6 senses that can be cultivated, refined and used to transform. It’s a universal expression of care and support. It is medicine. It is with this in mind as I do my work in the world. I hope you find it artful and unique. I hope it allows you to breath deeper and to feel better.

Bodies talk. There is a story underhand to be honored and unravelled. Sometimes great releases can be achieved with very gentle, slow work and other times we just need to be guided to breathe through the edges of constriction. I have strong hands and there are bridges everywhere. I acknowledge that no two bodies are the same and it’s my intention to inquire about and to serve each individual’s needs to the best of my ability.

When I have a client on the table I think about connections. Toe to hip, hip to head, head to heart, heart to belly. What has this body been through and what is it holding on to? Where can I meet it in order to help to support its relaxation and deep rest?  Because that is where the magic is at. Homeostasis is when all systems are soothed, balanced, unkinked and allowed to do their thing. When we can relax, all is truly well. It’s a trip and a journey to be embodied and I’d be honored to work with you along the way.

Relaxation (General) Massage

Gentle. Soothing. Full Body.

For those just needing some TLC and tension release.

Deep Tissue (Myofascial Release Informed)

Focused. Slow. 3D.

Deeper work that addresses more specific concerns and pain patterns. Never more pressure than one can breath through. Intended to meet the body where it’s at, then gently go deeper. The goal is to soften, stretch, and make space in previously congested and painful areas.

Aware. Gravity defying. Tidal.

A modality close to my heart. Side lying sweetness for any human in the childbearing year. This was the first modality I ever studied intensely. I am a retired doula, and a Mother, and I understand.

Intuitive Energy Work ( Reiki Informed )

Vibrational. Flowing. Connected.

I am officially trained and certified with a Master Level Reiki Certificate. Moreso though, I believe we all can harness healing energy with intention and compassion. Energy work, in my practice, is just simply hands-on listening and responding with energy awareness and flow.

Abdominal Massage (Arvigo and Chi Nei Tsang Informed)

Rooted. Nurturing. Calming.

The belly is an area that most massage practitioners skip over. The truth is that the abdomen is our powerhouse and our center. It’s the home of the enteric nervous system, our “second brain". In women it houses the organs that create life. It’s where we often feel stress, fear, excitement.

I am trained and highly passionate about bringing awareness and nurturing back to this forgotten landscape of the human form.

I am a certified in both Arvigo Abdominal techniques and in the Thai modality Chi Nei Tsang.
